Share the love of Jesus, through the power of a simple gift with children around the world.
Since 1990, more than 113 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God’s love through the power of a simple shoebox gift. Please consider joining us in this global effort by giving a gift that keeps on giving.
What you can do? Fill a shoe box with toys, school supplies, hygiene items and God’s love.
What OCC does? Distributes those boxes to needy children the world over, but not only that, they bring along the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
Collection: All boxes must be dropped off here at the church during National Collection week November 12 – 18, 2018
Volunteer: We are the Regional Distribution Centre for the shoeboxes, if you can help out with this awesome life changing process, please connect with Cathy or email the office.
Project Coordinator: Cathy England.
The new school year is upon us and with that, there will be some great sales on school supplies and children’s’ clothes. Don’t leave buying shoes boxes items until the busiest time of year. Do it now!
“Every shoebox gift is an opportunity to touch a child’s heart with the love of Jesus Christ.” Franklin Graham
How it works: Each shoebox is filled by Canadians with hygiene items, school supplies, and toys, and is given to children regardless of gender, race, or religion. When culturally appropriate, copies of a book entitled The Greatest Gift, which has been translated into 130 different languages, are offered to children after the shoeboxes have already been distributed. Following the shoebox distributions, local churches and ministry partners are equipped with a 12-lesson Bible study course, titled The Greatest Journey, which introduces interested children to Jesus, shows them how to receive Him and follow Him, and equips them to share their faith with family and friends.
